What is NUTOFA
A SACCO for tractor people and farmers.
We are a savings and credit cooperative based in Gulu, registered under Uganda’s Co-operative Societies Act in 2022. Our members are tractor owners, operators, mechanics, dealers, and the smallholder farmers who use them.
We save together, we borrow against our savings, and we run a tractor service centre at Lakang in Amuru. We work across Acholi, Lango, Karamoja and West Nile.
What we do

Mechanization
Tractor and implement hire from all regional centres. Land opening, ploughing, harrowing, ridging, threshing.

The Lakang centre
A mechanization service centre, owned by the SACCO.
The Lakang centre is in Amuru District, on ten acres donated to the cooperative by our anchor partners. We are building it into a year-round service centre for tractors, implements, threshing, drying and storage.
It is owned by the SACCO and run for its members. Revenue from contract services pays operators, maintains the fleet, and is distributed as member dividends.
